Public transport is a good and cheap way of getting around. Public transport in Mijas is limited to the bus service but this will take you to Malaga, Marbella, Fuengirola or even just a few urbanizations further within Mijas Costa.

You can use public transport to Mijas upon your arrival from the Airport or train station of Malaga. But even once you have reached your destination, it is easy getting around with the bus service that is offered.

For more usefull information on how to reach Mijas by public transport from the Airport, meaning a train to Fuengirola and then the bus to Mijas, please consult our pages 'how to get to Mijas'. As said, Public transport in Mijas is limited to bus service but you have several busses. I have split them up in 2 categories: from Mijas Costa and from Mijas Pueblo for your convenience.

This bus stops at nearly all the urbanisations on the coast side of Mijas. It runs every half hour starting at 7h30 weekdays and 8h on Sundays. Line 320 runs about 8 times a day and it takes you about 1 hour to reach Malaga from La Cala.

BUSSES FROM MIJAS PUEBLO:

4 times a day this bus does the route. Estimated time to reach Malaga from Mijas Pueblo is about 1h15

Bus 121: Mijas - Torremolinos
From Mijas Pueblo to the other coastal destinations: Benalmadena and Torremolinos.

Bus 122: Mijas - Fuengirola

Bus 221: Fuengirola - Mijas P - Coin

In summer an additional bus is put in place: bus 520 Mijas Pueblo to Mijas La Cala.

Staying within the same zone, like for example from La Cala Mijas to Calahonda will cost you 1.5€ per person
